Mount And Blade Toppes

Gabinete Caligari: dying of success? Nacho Vegas

This group seduced me from the first song. His outstanding "Camino Soria", published in 1987, coincided with my 14 year old and of course, the sound of guitars, bass and drums, with these lyrics verging on cockiness and topics and vocabulary typically "Hispanic" had to like. I remember playing that album for months, years, on the radio, and as one to one singles ended up being almost all subjects of James, Edi and Fernie. The aesthetics of Staff, poses and letters, were really an important reference point during my adolescence.

At the same time, arms to the elbows in the famous cassette boxes on offer, I got a couple of his tapes, compilations of previous work, where I find that sound dark and sinister underground its inception. Songs like "Heroes of the Soviet Union", "One day in Texas", "God Give Luck", "Grade 33", "Song of the Pollino" (this song went something like: "... We are normal people / Till Sunday comes / We those who fill the stadiums / to insult and blaspheme / We are not going to the theater / And we are flesh of bar ... worthwhile to hear it). From the same album that the latter, of course, "Al Calor del Amor in a Bar"

Little by little I ordered his discography and fitting the various songs on their respective LPs, EPs and pre miniLPs " Camino Soria ", the latter being primarily and not be weary:" Obedience "," God Give Luck "," Four Roses "(with the song of that title really become known to the general public) and" In Heat Love in a bar. " Really high quality work and a strong presence in the so-called "Movida."

"Camino Soria" is, for me, one of those albums that can be heard as if it were one song, and that together they fit with each other so that build a great song. Or I think so. What do you say "The Blood of your sadness," "Bridal Suite", "Play Uli", "Camino Soria" or "Luck is like a fish? For me temazos essential if you will this kind of music ...

From here the group begins a decline that will take them away in the late 90's. His subsequent works have no impact expected. These are: "Private", "One Hundred Thousand Turns", "Gabinetissimo" and "Come up Music." Above all "Private" is one of the great unknown, despite being regarded by many, including me, one of the best LPs of pop / rock music of all time English. Right now, with vinyl in my hands, I suggest such famous songs as "Guilt was Chachachá" or "You Only Live A Time "was the single presentation. And others which hardly anyone knows, "Word of Honor", "Professional", "Private", "My Luck" (song on which Loquillo speech and not to), "She's Sweet" (version of "She Smiled Sweetly ", the" Rolling Stones ") and, for me, the great unknown, the best of the album:" Taking the Airecico "where, in my opinion, it combines all the sound, most characteristic letter and spirit of the Cabinet. As they have much to say, stop here for today, I leave a couple of songs for which the known or unwilling to do so, and I promise more soon.

Sweet Dream Piano Notes

: weird, weird, weird.

"If I could choose only a desire

Request
always live close to heaven
In a sky so real
As the gap
A
As cruel war of one against oneself "

Nacho Vegas," Close to Heaven (Juanito Oiarzabal song) "

Well I met this guy through the double cd when he and Bunbury," The Cherry Time "in 2006. I liked both the disk as your voice and songs as I am usually rare, there I went to find his discography and more data from the subject in question. And here I run into the aforementioned gentleman had been part of a formation of so-called "cult" (the music made for minorities, in my opinion, is pompous and pretentious, the music is to convey, and the more transcends and more people, more will have fulfilled its mission) called Manta Ray, whose career went for 90, so if I got too discography, which proved to be too electronic and unintelligible to me.

However, this was another Nacho thing. He practices a very personal music, singer-songwriter, with lyrics very worked, telling stories past, present, emotions, lives ... with a very distinctive voice and style and unmistakable inevitable. This is an artist. Like it or not, but the guy has something. Undeniable. A few months ago he performed in Manchester, almost on my door and went out and enjoyed as a dwarf. But that's another story that might count. Or not.

Hard to find a picture of him without sunglasses, Nacho Vegas boasts a cockiness, a currado expertise in numerous concerts. And his voice, cracked and worked with a good dose of nicotine and mixed drinks, fits perfectly with his guitar.

De Nacho Vegas also say he has done many collaborations and participates in several musical projects related to the Asturian music in particular.

His work to date, although the imminent emergence of a new job these days, are:

· Green or Consequences 1999 2001
° Measures unexplained
• Six songs from the north-EP-2001
· Fear to buzz mosquito-EP-2002 music
Boxes · hard to stop double-CD-2003
· Songs from the palace-EP-2003
• The man who almost met Michi Panero-single-2005
· 2005
Disappear here · This is not an exit-EP-2005
· Bunbury & Vegas - El Tiempo Cherry CD-2006-double
· Bunbury & Vegas - Liceu Live-DVD-2007
· Songs Unexplained (2001-2005)-Compilation EMI Mexico-2007
· Nacho Vegas & Christina Rosenvinge-Summer 2007 Fatal
· Lucas 15 - Lucas 15 2008
· Songs Unexplained (2001-2007)-compilation for Spain. Extended Edition-2008
• The disaster revealed
2008 (thanks wikipedia)

As you see, the guy is boring ... apart from his collaborations with other artists, I recommend some of which, in my opinion, are most representative songs:
"Canción de Palacio # 7", "The Man Who Almost met Michi Panero", "New Planes, Same Strategies", "Fare thee well, Miss Carousel," "North of the North" or "Close to Heaven (song Juanito Oiarzabal), among others. I really recommend it, then I leave some to hear and, if you feel like something comentaís. Thanks for being there. At all.
